“MOONEYES” is a USA-born brand founded by Mr. Dean Moon, who had a strong passion for photography and cars. In 1936, he set up a small car shop behind a café named MOON AUTOMOTIVE. His work in building cars and producing race car parts gained recognition over time, leading to the establishment of Mooneyes Moon Equipment Co. and MOON Garage in 1950. These ventures fully embraced the HOT ROD scene, paving the way for innovations and serving as a model for the custom car industry.
In 1987, following the passing of Mr. Dean Moon, the brand was taken over by his close Japanese friend, Mr. Shige Suganuma, along with Mr. Chico Kodama, who both admired MOONEYES and its legacy. They continued to manage MOONEYES USA and expanded the business to Japan under the name MOONEYES AREA 1, making it the second global location.
In 2016, the brand expanded to Thailand, thanks to Mr. Chakraphan Rungsukcharoen (Mark), a Thai MOONEYES fan who deeply admired and believed in the legendary brand. He gained the trust to establish MOONEYES as the third location globally, under the name MOONEYES SHOP BKK, situated at the Srinakarin Train Market in Bangkok.

MOONEYES คือแบรนด์อเมริกันที่มีเอกลักษณ์ โดดเด่นด้วยจิตวิญญาณของผู้ก่อตั้ง คุณดีน มูน (Dean Moon) ผู้หลงใหลในโลกของการถ่ายภาพและรถยนต์อย่างลึกซึ้ง ในปี ค.ศ. 1936 เขาเริ่มต้นจากการเปิดอู่เล็ก ๆ หลังร้านคาเฟ่ภายใต้ชื่อ MOON Automotive ผลงานด้านการสร้างรถและชิ้นส่วนรถแข่งของเขาได้รับการยอมรับอย่างกว้างขวาง จนสามารถก่อตั้ง MOONEYES Moon Equipment Co. และ MOON Garage ขึ้นในปี 1950 ซึ่งกลายเป็นแรงขับเคลื่อนสำคัญในวงการ Hot Rod และต้นแบบของวัฒนธรรมรถแต่ง (Custom Car Culture) ทั่วโลก
หลังจากคุณดีน มูนเสียชีวิตในปี 1987 มรดกแห่งความหลงใหลนี้ก็ได้รับการสืบทอดต่อโดยเพื่อนชาวญี่ปุ่นผู้ใกล้ชิดของเขา คือ คุณชิเกะ สุงานุมะ (Shige Suganuma) และ คุณชิโกะ โคดามะ (Chico Kodama) ซึ่งทั้งคู่ต่างเป็นแฟนพันธุ์แท้ของ MOONEYES และยังคงบริหาร MOONEYES USA ต่อเนื่อง พร้อมขยายกิจการไปยังประเทศญี่ปุ่น ภายใต้ชื่อ MOONEYES AREA-1 ซึ่งกลายเป็นสาขาที่สองของแบรนด์ระดับโลกนี้
ในปี 2016 ความหลงใหลในแบรนด์ MOONEYES ได้เดินทางมาถึงประเทศไทย โดยผ่าน คุณจักรพันธ์ รุ่งสุขเจริญ (มาร์ค) แฟนตัวยงชาวไทยผู้ศรัทธาในตำนานของแบรนด์นี้อย่างแท้จริง ด้วยความเชื่อมั่นและความทุ่มเท เขาได้รับความไว้วางใจให้ก่อตั้ง MOONEYES SHOP BKK ซึ่งเป็นสาขาลำดับที่สามของโลก ตั้งอยู่ที่ ตลาดนัดรถไฟศรีนครินทร์ ในกรุงเทพฯ
ปัจจุบัน MOONEYES ยังคงเป็นศูนย์กลางของวัฒนธรรมรถแต่งระดับโลก โดยเฉพาะในประเทศไทย ที่มีการจัด งานครบรอบประจำปี เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองและขอบคุณแฟน ๆ และลูกค้าทุกคน ที่ให้การสนับสนุนและร่วมกันรักษาเสน่ห์แห่งวัฒนธรรมอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์นี้อย่างต่อเนื่อง
